Savette founder, Amy Zurek, set out to create a collection of leather bags meant to stand the test of time—“contemporary heirlooms” to be passed down through generations. Designed in New York and hand-crafted outside Florence, Italy, the inaugural collection includes three designs that are a study in beauty and function. Like the bags themselves, the branding elements didn’t need to be overwrought or fussy to be impactful. We created a custom wordmark for Savette (Amy’s mother’s maiden name) and paired the typography with clean, minimal sub marks. A neutral color palette and white, cotton stationery round out the system, and the result is a modern heritage brand.
